A huge benefit of doing the work yourself, is that you know all of the details about the pond. This becomes extremely helpful when something doesn’t seem quite right, and you need to figure out if there is a problem that needs to be corrected or if everything is actually ok. It makes it a lot easier to fix when you know what all the components are and where they are located
